Sneaking Chocolates

Lately Quino has REALLY enjoyed being in our room because there are several boxes of chocolates. I had eaten all the good chocolates leaving only the dark ones, so I didn't care if he ate a few.

As I was getting ready for the day I hear Quino gasp and say "ooohhhh". This means the chocolates have been discovered. He picks up the box and starts to walk towards me. I turn around and tell him he can have some. He looks at me suspiciously, carefully edges around the bed, and goes to the other side of the bed where I can't "see" him. These are the pics I got.

Growing up, Superbowl, and a New Car

Me: Quino's awake, we need to get up
Greggars: I don't want to get up, I'm a Toys R' Us kid
Me: That's "grow up" not "get up"

(later that week)
Greggars: I want to grow up, I'm a Toys R' Us kid!
Me: It's I DON'T want to grow up
Greggars: oh yeah

Missionary: Who's winning the Super Bowl?
Me: The purple team is beating the hot dogs.

Raqi: Your car stinks today
Me: Yeah I know, it rained. Rain always makes it stinky
Raqi: You need a new car
Me: I'd LOVE to get a new car every time this one doesn't meet your standards but it's not that easy
*pause*
Raqi: Dad got a new car
Me: -___-

Smelling

I have taught Quino how to smell flowers. He knows that we inhale through our nose and then say "mmmhhhh". As a result he'll smell any plant. It's super cute and I love it! Today he walked up to my house slippers, shoved his nose into them, sniffed and said, "mmmhhhh". I looked at him and said, "I know they don't smell good". He ran off laughing

First Sentence

Today Quino said his first sentence. He was crawling all over me and he elbowed me, hard. I grunted. He turned, looked at me with a very serious face, and said, "You OK?"

I was so shocked that I didn't reply and he returned to crawling over me. Then he elbowed me even harder in my chest. I guess I wouldn't have been hit the second time if I had just answered him.
"You OK?"

Quoting us

A few conversations:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me: ugh! Roberts medicine smells awful! Smell it!
Greg: *sniffs, makes disgusted face* It smells like medicine
Me: ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me: Greg, when I die, will you say that I'm eccentric during the eulogy

Greg: if I outlive you, yes

Me: I see I need a backup plan then. I'll put it on my headstone

Greg: I don't want that on OUR headstone

Me: Who said we're sharing a headstone? I don't have room for YOU on MY headstone. I have plans for my headstones...

Greg: *looks at me like I'm eccentric and then moves on*

Catching You Up

Well, I have come back from a LONG hiatus (or laziness, whatever you prefer to call it) and there is so much to update on. To sum it up. Greggars and I have finished school and are now living in Texas, with Greggars parents, Pawpaw and G. Wow, that was simple! Now some fun pictures from the past year!

Texas

*Note: You may have not noticed that I have changed the background of the blog. Take note of my awesomeness and the incredible things I can do with Microsoft Word and Paint. That’s right, I rock!*
In the past, visiting Texas has been a pain. So many people demanding to see my time and not enough people pleased with the time I’m able to give them. I typically have a “out of body” experience. I go where ever I’m demanded to be and while there I count down the time until my next visit. It has almost always been a miserable experience for me.
This trip has been different. I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent with others. I focus less on where I need to go next, and more on the time I’m currently spending with people. You may be wondering what has made such a difference. There have been sever major changes and one of those changes is that we are able to be here for a month. In the past, visits haven’t been longer than a week and a half. Three and a half weeks has allowed us to take our time and visit all kinds of people. I am LOVING it!
So here is a small play by play of how the first week has gone.
Dec 29th: We went to the mall and did a photo shoot.
